FRK Swallow

סוג גל

ה-FRK Swallow תוכנן לגלים בגובה של עד 5 פוט, כשהמטרה היא ליצור את הדגם הכי ורסטילי בסדרת ה-FRK. עם דגש על פיזור נכון של הנפח ישירות מתחת לרגליים, הדגם הזה מייצר מהירות גם בחלקים שטוחים של הגל, בלי להתפשר על ביצועים. למרות שהדגם עוצב במקור במיוחד לגלים קטנים, הצוות אישר במהרה את הוורסטיליות שלו גם בגלים מגובה ברך ב-T Street ועד גלים גבוהים בהרבה באואחאקה.

מאפיינים

בהשוואה לשאר הדגמים בסדרת ה-FRK, דן עבד על פיזור נפח טוב יותר ישירות מתחת לרגלי הגולש, שיפור האאוטליין והפרופיל של הרוקר, ושיתוף פעולה עם קלי כדי למקסם את ההשפעה של הצורה בחלק האחורי של הגלשן מול קימורי רוקר חדשים לחלוטין. הרוקר בחלק האחורי של הגלשן שולב במיוחד עם Swallow טייל, שמאפשר דיוק נדיר בעבודה על הרייל – משהו שלא אופייני לשורטבורדים לגלים קטנים. שני הקצוות של ה-Swallow Tail מספקים אחיזה טובה יותר בסיבובים על הרייל בהשוואה לזנב Squash, בזכות הצמצום בשטח הפנים של החלק האחורי של הגלשן.

WAVE TYPE

Another best-selling Machado midlength due to its versatility, this board is cruisey and fun. It works well in just about any conditions - size up for weaker conditions, and ride your typical size when the waves get good. Depending on what size you ride, it can be put in quality surf. Recommended in 1-4' surf, skewing towards poor to average conditions.

BOARD FEATURES

A quintessential Rob Machado design, featuring a performance-oriented outline with double concave in the back half of the board and a gentle single concave running in the front half of the board. Rob will ride both the 5'6" and 7'0" depending on the waves, showing the true range of this shape.

השייפ שלו הוא שילוב של הדגמים Sci-Fi ו-Omni כך שבאופן ברור ניתן כמעט לדמיין את השילוב של שני הגלשנים האלו.

אוהבי ה-Sci-Fi יזהו מיד את הבאט טייל הכפול של הטומו. הרבה מהפופולריות של ה-Sci-Fi בשנת 2016 ו-2017 נובעת מהעיצוב הזה של הטייל, יחד עם ה-Quad Inside Single Concave של הטומו.

מבחינת פונקציונליות, השילוב של שני האלמנטים העיצוביים הללו הינו מבריק - הטייל הכפול מוסיף אחיזה בפנים הגל ומאזן טיפה את המהירות הגבוהה שנוצרת על ידי ה-Quad Inside Single Concave.

לדגם זה נוז כמו של ה OMNI אך עם מעט פחות נפח באזור זה. הגלשנים עדיין מזכיר מאוד בסגנון הגלישה את ה Sci-Fi אך עם מעט יותר רוקר ומותאמים לגלים בגובה 1-5ft.

בהתאם לקו של הטומו ה CYMATIC הינו גלשן פרפורמנס לגלים גבוהים. הטייל הכפול נותן אחיזה בגלים חלולים יותר, המהירות שנוצרת על ידי ה-Quad Inside Single Concave של הטומו מאפשרים לך לעבור קטעים שחשבת בעבר שהם בלתי אפשריים.
מומלץ לגלים בגובה של 2-6ft ויעבוד בכל התנאים, אך מצטיין בגלים ממוצעים עד טובים.

מאפיינים

החלק העליון של ה-Omni בשילוב עם החלק התחתון של הSci-Fi  הם מה שיוצר את ה CYMATIC.

The Dominator has been a staple in my quiver, and the Firewire line, since its inception in 2008. The DM II is meant to be a clean update of the original with design features that allow it to work well in a wider range of conditions and enhance its performance

The obvious outline change is the tail going to a squash from the round tail. Also, the rails are slightly more refined and performance oriented. The concave is the same under the front foot but splits into a subtle, double-barrel and V out the tail in the last 5”. I normally look for a round tail to provide smoothness in transition from rail to rail and during turns, but the squash tail is proving to not only have that quality as well, but also a bit more release in the turns
