רוב מצ׳אדו על ה Seaside: ״בעצם מדובר באבולוציה של ה Go Fish שהפך למשהו חדש. ה-Go Fish מהיר, מרגיש כמו סקייטבורד, חופשי וזורם, ואני מת על זה. אחרי שרכבתי עליו כמה שנים, רציתי משהו יותר ביצועי - יותר חיתוכים, סיבובים חדים יותר. ה-Seaside הוא סוג של שיפור… פחות שטח בטייל, צמצום הקצוות של הסוואלו טייל, יצירת יותר קימור וצמצום הנוז. כל האלמנטים האלה מיועדים לשחוט, בזמן שה-Go Fish נשאר כיף ורגוע."
ה-Seaside מגיע רק בסטאפ של קואד, למה?
"החלטתי שאם אני עושה קואד, אני הולך עד הסוף - הוא יהיה נטו קואד. עיצבתי את הקונקייבים והתחתית בהתאם לזה. בעצם עיצבתי מחדש את כל סטאפ הקונקייב שהשתמשתי בו ב-Moonbeam וב-Go Fish, והתאמתי אותו לקואד כדי שהכול יעבוד יחד."
למה לקרוא לצורה הזו על שם הhome break שלך?
"להמציא שמות לבורדים זה כנראה הדבר הכי קשה בעולם [צוחק]. זה פשוט מושלם כשאני גולש במקום הביתי שלי Seaside.
למה ה-Seaside בנוי מהליום?
"הראשון שעשיתי לטהיטי היה מ-LFT, וגלשתי עליו בצינורות של 6 פיט. אבל רוב האנשים גולשים על גלשנים כמו ה-Seasideבגלי חוף קטנים או בפויינטים קטנים, אז בנינו אותו מ-Helium כי זה ממש קל, מאוד רספונסיבי, גמיש עם תחושה רכה ועמיד מאוד. אני חושב שזו האופציה הכי טובה לצורה כמו ה-Seaside בגלים קטנים וחלשים״.

A re-release of the classic Sci-Fi designed by Daniel 'Tomo' Thomson in collaboration with Kelly Slater, newly updated in I-Bolic Technology from Slater Designs.
Tomo says, "the Sci-Fi has been such a popular design and stood the test of time because of its functionality. It's such an easy board to ride. It gives the user an effortless sense of control and performance that you wouldn't get in a traditional shortboard."
Capturing the essence of Daniel's Modern Planing Hull innovations over the prior decade, the Sci-Fi 2.0 can handle and hold in significantly sized waves up to double overhead, but it still grovels with ease of speed in flat faced waves under waist high.
Much of the magic in the Sci-FI 2.0 comes from Daniel's innovative approach to tail design and concave configuration, as the Sci-Fi 2.0 combines his original Double Bat Tail concept and his Quad Inside Single Concave.
The result is a board that controls speed uncommonly well for how wide its tail is, making the Sci-Fi 2.0 in I-Bolic Technology a quiver enhancement to anyone's board rack.

The Dominator II is a revisited version that I’m super excited about. The Dominator has been a staple in my quiver, and the Firewire line, since its inception in 2008. The DM II is meant to be a clean update of the original with design features that allow it to work well in a wider range of conditions and enhance its performance
The obvious outline change is the tail going to a squash from the round tail. Also, the rails are slightly more refined and performance oriented. The concave is the same under the front foot but splits into a subtle, double-barrel and V out the tail in the last 5”. I normally look for a round tail to provide smoothness in transition from rail to rail and during turns, but the squash tail is proving to not only have that quality as well, but also a bit more release in the turns
